Vibratory Finishing
Vibratory finishing is a splitting method for surface processing of mainly metallic workpieces.
The workpieces to be processed are placed together with grinding components (so-called chips), and usually an additive in aqueous solution (compound), as bulk material in a container. Oscillating or rotating movement of the container generates a relative motion between the workpiece and the grinding component, which causes material abrasion at the workpiece, mainly on its edges.
The surface appearance of the workpieces, the roughness, the material abrasion, and the deburring output can be varied virtually at will thanks to the machines and tools used (grinding components and compound). Perfect interplay of all components ensures efficiency!
