Deburring, edge contouring and polishing for the aerospace industry
Abrasive Flow Machining - a method developed for aerospace engineering - is particularly suitable for components, which require precision deburring of difficult-to-reach places and simultaneous forming of a high-quality surface with a low Ra value.
Examples of components which can be used in the aerospace industry are cooling holes in turbine blades, edge contouring, and polishing of fishbone geometries (surfaces).
